We did a Hot Steep Test on our Malted Wheat last week. Great colour and great taste – (SRM 1.5) (Extract 84%)
Yesterday we transferred our Oats out of the steep vessel to the germination vessel. The oats were very fast to take in moisture and got close to 45% in about half the time as barely. Learning something new all the time!
Well it is official, we were successful in malting some wheat. We will be adding this to our current product line. Next up, we are going to try malting some Oats. Stay tuned!
